MindGames Incorporated (MGI) is set to launch the maiden edition of the MGI Scrabble Premier League (MSPLeague) in Nigeria. A total of 12 teams have completed registration and will battle for the top prize of ₦1,000,000. The total prize money for the league is estimated to be around ₦3,000,000.
League matches will be played across the country starting from Lagos on March 16, 2019. The next league weekend will hold on May 18 at the prestigious Stonehedge Hotel in Abuja, followed by a trip to Shell Club, Port Harcourt on July 13.
The final showdown of the MSPLeague 2019 will take place at the classy and sophisticated Lilygate Hotel in Lagos from September 14-15, 2019.
The organizers plan to expand the league to two/three divisions from next year in order to accommodate more scrabble players who have shown interest in joining the league.
