With the commencement of eSIM technology by MTN Nigeria on 15th of July 2020 for the first time in West Africa, Tech YouTuber, Fisayo  Fosudo has explained the evolution.

In an explainer video, Fisayo detailed the evolution and history of SIM cards and SIM technology as well as the introduction of the eSIM alongside the benefits of having one.
