UAC Restaurants Limited in collaboration with CEESAM International Limited, a UAC Restaurants’ franchisee on Thursday, officially launched a new family loaf bakery in the heartbeat of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The bakery is sitting next to a combo store housing Mr Bigg’s and Debonairs Pizza brands which are part of UAC Restaurants Limited bouquet of brands.
Speaking at the commissioning of the new bakery, the Managing Director, UAC Restaurants Limited, Debola Badejo assured residents of the community that the brand is of high quality and value.
Badejo noted that primarily, the bakery is designated for bread but added that there are other varieties of pastries and cakes that may spring up with time.
He stated that the bread bakery will be leveraging the value that exists in Mr Bigg’s brand name in conjunction with the large market, great quality and taste to win in the highly competitive bread market.
Asked about the competitive environment, the MD maintained that “There are competitors around here, we are not unmindful of that, but there is no business that you would want to do that there wouldn’t be competition”.
”Within the bread market, there are many because the market is a large one” opined Debola Badejo.
He further reiterated on the efforts geared towards creating awareness for the bakery , saying“We have planned a lot of local community marketing which starts from today in ensuring that people within the community are aware of the existence of the bakery.
“This will include pushing out targeted SMS to customers, direct marketing activations as well as digital campaign geared towards informing and engaging customers”.
“We are Mr Bigg’s, we have been here since 1986, we are not going anywhere, we are going to be here for many years to come, said the managing director Mr Debola Badejo.
Also speaking at the unveiling, UAC Restaurants’ Franchisee and Chairman, CEESAM International Limited, Engineer Sam Nwaire reiterated that the bakery will not compromise on quality.
He further assured the customers of consistent quality and value.
Engineer Nwaire advised customers and residents in the community to patronize bread with a good brand name as Mr Bigg’s.
He further reiterated that Mr Bigg’s bread is bromate free and that any customer who buys Mr Bigg’s bread is assured of healthy bread and is holding a certificate of good health.

At the Festival Shopping Mall, where the UAC Restaurants franchisee also own a Mr Bigg’s restaurant, a non-Nigerian customer and visitor to the mall expressed his confidence in the brand , he said “ I have confidence in the Mr Bigg’s brand because of its global reach and years of operation which has spanned decades.
